Wolfsin SEA WOLF
Ultra Waterproof Dry Bag

About our Ultra Dry Bag.

Features.

Strong material

Extra thick Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) material giving the bag more strength and resistance to wear and tear. Also a double layer on the wear points at the bottom of the bag to increase protection.

Long lasting

Clear plastic doesn’t yellow and breakdown over time when exposed to direct sunlight which means the Sea Wolf dry bag will last longer in harsh environments.

Premium Straps

Nylon elastic built into the straps to provide more strength and a better more comfortable wear.

The user can communicate thru the radio bag so no need or requirement for an external speaker/microphone.

Extra 3rd strap which can be used when wearing a life vest, this helps hold the dry bag and your radio in the correct position on the users shoulder.

Real world tests

The Sea Wolf was tested in real world conditions, from being lowered into a SSE hydro loch about thirteen miles from Ullapool ( Scotland) in the middle of winter. The sea wolf was lowered down to 25m deep for 2 hours, to being left in a tidal current 4m under water and tied to sharp rocks where it was left overnight, all while in sub zero conditions the Sea Wolf outperformed our tests.

Frequently Asked Questions.

  • What testing of the dry bags have you done?

We have carried out extensive real-world testing of our dry bags in some extremely demanding conditions.

    Testing has included:

    • Taking the dry bags down to 20 metres deep in freezing ocean water to test their waterproofing and durability under significant water pressure.
    • Securing a dry bag to a wharf in approximately 4 metres of water and leaving it there as the tide changed. The bag was repeatedly carried by the current over sharp rocks, providing a rigorous test of its abrasion resistance and overall durability.
    • Providing samples to a Surf Life Saving Club, where they were used for approximately six months on some of the harshest beaches in the North Island of New Zealand. This provided extended exposure to demanding coastal conditions and regular practical use.

These tests were designed to go well beyond laboratory conditions and assess how the dry bags perform in the types of harsh, unpredictable environments they are intended to be used in.

  • Do they fit over a life jacket?

Yes. The straps are long enough to comfortably fit over a life jacket.

We have also included a third strap for additional security. This is particularly useful when operating an IRB (Inflatable Rescue Boat), helping keep the dry bag securely positioned on the wearer’s body during movement and active use.

  • How tough are the dry bags?

The dry bags are extremely tough, made from thick, durable TPU material and designed to withstand demanding conditions.

We have put them through rigorous real-world testing, including sealing the bags and having people jump on them to test their strength and durability.

We have also tested them in challenging environments, including leaving a sealed dry bag 20 metres deep in a dam overnight to test its ability to withstand prolonged water pressure.

These tests, combined with our extensive field testing, have given us confidence that the dry bags are built to handle the tough conditions they are designed for.

  • Can you put other electronic equipment in them other than just radios?

Yes. While the dry bag was primarily designed to accommodate larger radios, you can use it to keep any items you need to protect from water.

This could include your mobile phone, car keys, GPS, camera, or other electronic equipment. The dry bag is versatile and can be used for anything you want to keep dry, provided the items are not sharp or likely to puncture or damage the bag.

  • Where can I purchase the dry bags from?

In New Zealand you can purchase the dry bags from Walkie Talkie, https://www.walkietalkie.nz/product/walkie-talkie-dry-bag/

  • Can you hear through the dry bag?

Yes. Even though the dry bag is fully waterproof, the material still allows you to hear and communicate clearly through the bag.

There is no noticeable loss of audio quality or volume, making it ideal for radios and other communication devices that need to remain protected from water while still being easily heard and operated.
